Diary Post - 8

Today I went to London in order to film the first part of the opening two minutes of my film. From filming today I have learnt that it is important to get lots of footage from lots of different angles in order to make sure that there is a wide range of choice when it comes to editing. Filming lots of things from lots of different angles will help me when it comes to editing as it means that I will have lots of footage to choose from and it will be easier to choose what I want to use. As well as this I will be able to cut the bits I am not happy with out and still be left with enough footage for what I want.

I filmed a bus which is part of the footage I hope to use. In doing this I had an idea to put some of the opening credits on the side of the bus instead of the destination. I think this will be a good thing to edit in as it will flow nicely and will look really good. I think filming in London will really help to set the scene and feeling for my film. Many romantic films start with a view of the city in which they are set, which is where I have taken this idea from.
